    Even if you do not insert the required fields, when you click on next, it’ll take you to the order and payment page.

    The plugin doesn’t perform a per-step validation, but it inherits it from the WooCommerce plugin. The validation is performed when clicking on the “Place Order” button and, if there are errors, then you’re redirected to the first step where errors are present.

    This is not an error, it is simply how the plugin works. If per-step validation is important for you, please try out other multi-step checkout plugins.
