Is it possible to request to add additional plugins to the ones this plugin works on? I use the Sucuri Security free plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/sucuri-scanner/), which added Google Fonts to its controls in its most recent updates, with no option to turn it off, and I don’t think the developers will respond to my request. (I hate using Google Fonts on the Dashboard because it exposes my administrative IP address to Google every time I need to do anything with the site!)

Hi @ate-up-with-motor,

I will look into the plugin you’ve mentioned, and if possible add code to remove the Google Fonts reference from wp-admin.

Great, that seems to have done the trick! Thanks so much.

I contacted the plugin developers (https://wordpress.org/support/topic/google-fonts-on-dashboard/), who said they would look at removing the API call from future updates.
