Support » Fixing WordPress » "Requested URL not found"

  • I was making some edits to my wordpress site earlier today. I own the domain katiegolobic.com

    I was trying to make some edits so people didn’t have to type blog.katiegolobic.com and so in settings under wordpress I goofed and now my site is not accessible, keeps getting the 404 Not Found page and I’m unable to log in. It gives me the “Requested URL not found” page when I try to log in. (exact line reads: The requested URL /wp-login.php was not found on this server.)

    How do I recover this so that I can log back in and restore my design and pages (as well as make edits…)

    Seems I edited the Wordress address URL and site URL

  • try this address : blog.katiegolobic.com/wp-login.php

    It is definitely because you changed the siteurl. Now you won’t be able to go to the dashboard. You need to change from mysql. Go to phpmyadmin and open the database. In table wp_options, change siteurl to your last setting.

    actually, or change from wp-config.php.
    define(‘WP_HOME’,’http://example.com’);
    define(‘WP_SITEURL’,’http://example.com’);
