# Requested password does not work

 * I just upgraded my WP from 2.5 to 2.7. As far as I can tell it went well and 
   the database seems to have upgraded properly as well. However when I tried to
   login into the admin account it failed.
 * I just the request the password option and got the reset request and then got
   the new password. When I enter the password it says “log in again”, I do, and
   says the same thing over and over.
 * Help please!

 * Here’s some things to try:
    1. logout or logout with [http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-login.php?loggedout=true](http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-login.php?loggedout=true)
   2. disable all plugins–if necessary read [How to deactivate all plugins when not able to access the administrative menus?](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   3. clear cookies 4. exit browser 5. make sure local firewall is not causing problem
   6. login with [http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-login.php](http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-login.php)
 * If WordPress is installed in something other than the root folder please take
   that into account for the above url examples
 * Please let us know what does solve your problem.

 * I have not been able to get into my blog site. I requested a different password
   and sent me one. When I use it when I log in it does not except the password.
   I have tried this several times and you own password you won’t except.
