Support » Plugin: Subscribe To Comments Reloaded » Request to subscribe leads to page not found

  • Hi there
Any commenter tries to subscribe to comments and receives a link with a confirmation request. Clicking on the link gives a page not found error, although this person is informed when his comment is replied to.
What might cause that? He notified me as he thought it had failed (obviously). I have tested and verified this doesn’t work as expected.
    Thanks
    Ellie

    Hi @elliekennard

    Try the following:

    1. Go to WP Admin > StCR > Management Page
    2. Set “Virtual management page” to “No” and save changes
    3. Go to WP admin > Pages > Add New and create a page called “Comment subscriptions”, the permalink should be comment-subscriptions
    4. For the content of the page add [stcr_management_page]
    5. Publish the page and test the subscription confirmation links

    Thanks, would try that but…
In trying to save the virtual management page to No, I got this message
“Your access to this service has been limited. (HTTP response code 403)”
What should I do? I can’t move past that. It happens each time.

It’s okay. I had to allow list the action. Weird.

Okay, did that but did not get a confirm email?
I did get a notification when comment was replied to, though. Thank you.

    Hi @elliekennard

You’re not getting a subscription confirmation email? That worked before, correct? The change I mentioned in the previous email does not have an effect on that functionality.
