Request to import .mo files into new translation system

Currently .mo files established in a plugin hosted on the WordPress plugins directory are not auto-detected by the translations system. This is causing a plugin listing to add a banner stating that a translation is not available, when a fully translated .mo file is present in the plugin.

With the advent of LLMs, basic translations can be automated/generated fairly easily, making manual translations valuable, still, but as a corrective approach rather than a leading approach.

Can we improve the current translations systems to autodetect and import .mo files that already exists?
