Request: post level plugin?

Is there already a plugin or hack to change the user level for posts? I like the viewlevel plugin, but the users I give a higher level to I don’t want to post. So can I set it so something like level 5 and up can post? Is there a “level” file somewhere that lets you modify the default permissions at each level (could be a feature request if not) thanks.
