I have a website where I both publish my own podcast episodes with Seriously Simple Podcasting (SSP), and showcase Podcast Player for specific feeds.

Would it be possible to make Podcast Player listen to publish events from SSP, so that every time I publish a new episode, my pp_feed_data_ fields are reset so that they show the now updated feed?

ALternatively? Is it possible in any way to lower the caching period? Maybe setting it to follow wp_feed_cache_transient_lifetime as I’ve set this filter to 600 seconds?

    Hi there,

Both of these options are already available in podcast player.

    1. Podcast player already follows “wp_feed_cache_transient_lifetime” filter to change the cache period.

    2. You can manually update podcast feed anytime using following method,
    a. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Podcast Player.
    b. Look for “Feed Updation Tool” in right sidebar.
    c. Enter you podcast feed URL in the field.
    d. Choose “Update Now” from the drop-down and click “Update” button
it will immediately update your feed cache.

Please inform if you need more help on this.

    Thanks,
