  • I appreciate the wordpress designers attempting to create clean, indented outputted html by preceeding characters such as

  • and <table>
  • with tabs/spaces, but I’d rather have everything flush to the left in my source code. In my opinion, this bloats the code and is unnecessary.
Perhaps a hidden global option in the config file for wordpress to ignore tabs & spaces when outputting the html within the browser? The only meaningful alternative is to use a text editor and remove all instances of \t although I’m not certain if this’ll break wordpress.

  • \ came out wrong. It should read “backslash t” The backticks code doesn’t seem to want to work for me lately with backslashes?

Nevermind my request. I didn’t realize how easy it was to change this manually.
Just open the various “template-functions-*.php” files located in the “wp-includes” folder and edit the various tab instances to your preference.
