# Request: Author Category Permissions plugin

 * Hi,
 * On my site i want a “News” section and a “Rants” section. I want to make it so
   that only one user (myself) can add posts to News and multiple selected users
   with the correct permissions can add to “Rants”. I thought i could do this useing
   wordpress categories. So force certain authors to only post under “Rants” (and
   sub categories there of) and thus set those authors up as “Rants” authors.
 * Does a plugin to do this kinda thing exist or should i get my hacking gloves 
   on? 🙂
