Request Access Key points to new Developer Portal

    Hi,

    I hit a snag as the request access key is pointing t the new developers portal. What am I missing here? Also the link regarding this issue in the documentation is not working anymore the page doesn’t exist.

    Did you use links from the following documentation?

    Request UPS API key

    To get the UPS API key, you’ll need a UPS account. Account number is needed for generating API key.

    Thanks for getting back to me.

    No it was another document I suppose outdate links. I do have an account and payment details linked in the account.

    When I want to request for an api I get 2 choices:

    You can choose between I want to integrate UPS into my business or I was informed by a software vendor.

    If I chose I want to integrate then I get the following message:

    -We are excited to show you our new Developer Portal where you can get OAuth credentials to integrate with our APIs. Please click here to get started –

    Hello,

    I’m having the same problem while using the Request UPS API key link.

    I’ve created many UPS access keys in the past and even created my own code to use them and never had a problem.

    Their page has definitely changed and it looks to me like they are trying to get all new authentication for their API through OAuth.

    I’ve been trying to see if there was some other way to access a page for creating access keys and haven’t been able to find it yet.

    Meanwhile, are you able to request API key using the second option?
    I was informed by a software vendor…

    Hi,

    Actually you can ask API key using the second option. However, in my case I was shown a telephone number. I called and got a whole bunch of questions. They were going to get back to me. They never did.

    I was surprised but yesterday I could ask for an API and every thing is ok now. was able to ask a key now.

    I tried the second option, but i got no key on my email. Is there some other way? Or a support email from UPS that we could use to request an api Key?

    Hi @mrbcarrion,

    If you encountered issues with obtaining the key after using the second option, please make sure you have your account number entered, and payment method added.

    If both are entered, please contact the UPS support to generate a new key.
