I’m working on a way to limit how many posts that will be public at one time. It would be awesome if I could have postie check every 10 minutes for 1 (or 2) emails then post it. At current I have about 6-7 posts coming into my email every 30 minutes and a plugin to auto post everything to my social media sites. So I get 6-7 posts on my other sites because of this. Having more flexibility with this could help spread out the posts for me.

I’m not sure I understand what you are trying to accomplish. Can you try explaining it again with some concrete examples.

Essentially have the ability to change “Check mail every” and “Maximum number of emails to process” to a custom field that I can set myself.

Sorry I wasn’t as clear as I wanted to be. I ramble too much. lol

I can add more values to the max number dropdown quickly. An open field will require much more validation.
What values would work for you?

    Check mail every “5 minutes”
Maximum number of emails to process “1” “2”
    Thanks

I’ve added these choices to 1.4.32.

FYI you can check for email on whatever schedule you’d like by using an external cron.
