• Hi,

    (Scroll down for TL;DR)

I’m just starting with self-hosted WordPress, so I’m still getting my head around many things.

After experimenting a bit, I arrived at a front page layout that I liked, which is the one linked above (fredericobarros.com), but the copyright notice on the bottom-right is a problem. As you can see in the footer just by its left, all my material is CC-BY-SA, which conflicts with the small copyright symbol Mesmerize puts by default before the 2019 on its mandatory footer.

I contacted support and I’d have to pay for a Pro Mesmerize plan just to have this small symbol removed, which doesn’t make any sense. I guess could go the Child theme route, but there’s a learning curve there, so, as I feel I’m not using Mesmerize to its full potential anyway, I thought about sort of creating a clone of my front page on another theme which wouldn’t give me this un-customizable copyright notice problem.

TL;DR – I’m looking to either reproduce my front page on a free theme that lets me adjust my copyright notice on the footer OR to find a simple way to remove the small copyright symbol before the 2019 on the right footer in Mesmerize without having to pay for a Pro plan.

    Thanks in advance!
