The issue is apparently not theme-related.
1. Make sure the option “Allow users to re-post activity from activity stream” is checked in Settings menu > BuddyPress > Options tab > Activity Settings section (should be enabled by default). 2. Important: if BuddyPress is network-activated, then you need to network-activate the plugin as well for the option to show up in the network settings and the button to work.
3. The re-post button only seems to show up on users and groups activity updates (direct updates on their profiles), not the other kinds of activity posts (site new post, comment, new friendship, group join, etc.), unfortunately.

Unfortunately, this plugin not fully compatible with BuddyBoss. You will have the updates for this in future soon.

@o0s0o Try installing the default BuddyPress install with no other plugins active and if you are still not seeing the Repost icon show up please go to :
Settings > BuddyPress > Options
Under ‘Main Settings’ check if the Template Pack option is set to BuddyPress Nouveau. If it is, change it to BuddyPress Legacy and see if the icon shows up on your activity stream.

After a recent update to BuddyBoss, the repost button now shows up. It seems to work as far as reposting text, but doesn’t repost images. It shows the image in the form prior to submitting it, but then the actual post is blank.
Also, it doesn’t seem to allow you to add any additional text to the post.
And as a feature request, it would be great if it said “repost” somewhere in the post.
