    Hi,

    My apologies if this has already been covered, but I couldn’t find anything on it.

    With regards to the “Reports By Event” dropdown, I have a client that has daily events, morning and afternoon, and this list can soon get very long. We have it set to a max of 150, since it can soon run out, but as more events come in it soon starts leaving some out, so we have to up this number.

    She doesn’t want to delete past events, because this can cause an error when trying to view past payments, so my question is this:

    Is there a way for past events to not show in the “Reports By Event” dropdown?
    Alternatively is there a way to archive past events without deleting them?

    Many thanks for any help on this, since it would help enormously!

    There isn’t currently a way to do that, although I’m releasing an update today which will at least include a filter to adjust the arguments array for selecting events.

    However, one thing you can do is use the link to ticket reports from your events instead of using the dropdown; that might be a more efficient way for you to view the different reports.

    Hi Joe, thanks for getting back to me. Yes – I know what you mean regarding the link from the events. Unfortunately, we have certain staff members who have access to the reports, but not the events, since they don’t trust them with the ability to edit them!

    Can I ask instead then, if events (in My Calendar) are archived using the archive button, will it still retain the information to those events in payments in My Tickets but allow them to drop off the My Tickets reports list?

    Unfortunately, no – archiving events in My Calendar has no impact on the My Tickets reports. I’ll give some thought to this issue.

    Hi Joe,

    Thanks for your reply – I’ve just let my client know – for now we are having to allow a really large number of reports show in the dropdown, because she doesn’t want some staff to be able to access the edit event area.

    Alternatively, because the number of events allowed into the reports dropdown is limited, would it be possible for a function to allow only the most recent events to show up there?

    At the moment it almost drops in the wrong way around or even randomly. So for example, if the report dropdown only allows 50 events to show within it, and there is 60 events, often the most recent 10 won’t show up there. Is there a way to have them drop in by event date with the most recent first?
