Just to be clear, this is NOT a call for help, I’m here to report something that isn’t really a bug, but definitely looks faulty.
– Create a new post in WordPress 3.3.
– Hit the Media Uploader button (or the good old Alt-Shift-M)
– Provide the Media Uploader the URL of a remote image.
– Move (tab keys, or clic) to the Title and/or Alternate Text lines. And write something in there
At this point, if we click the “insert into post” button, we’ll have that kind of code
`<img class=”alignnone” title=”test” src=”http://www.inter.net/folder/image.jpg” alt=”test” width=”297″ height=”400″ />
However, if instead of hitting the “insert into post” button, we simply hit Enter while we were inside the Title or Alternate Text lines, we’ll end up with this kind of code :
<img src='http://www.inter.net/folder/image.jpg' alt='test' class='alignnone' />
Do you see the difference ? All reference to the image’s dimensions is gone.
I tested this on 2 WP 3.3 blogs, an old one with an old theme, and a brand new test one.
While most of the time this is not an issue, there are rare occasions when it can turn into an annoyment.
Well, that was it for my bug report, merry new year 2012 everyone 🙂
