Support » Theme: Harmony 2.0 » replacing the original header image

  • Resolved mrmartin1

    Hi Guys,

I’m currently using the Harmony 2.0 theme.
In the header for this theme, there are two main image sections. I have successful uploaded a logo which has replaced the left hand side image. I have been trying to replace the right hand side one with very little luck.

Under editor, in the header.php file the code below is the one which takes case of the right hand side image. I thus replaced image source (i.e. “<?php echo esc_url( get_stylesheet_directory_uri() . ‘/images/default-header.jpg’ ); ?>” class=”) with the one I need but this results in the image not covering the entire area. Could anyone please offer some advice?

    <img src=”<?php echo esc_url( get_stylesheet_directory_uri() . ‘/images/default-header.jpg’ ); ?>” class=”” width=”670″ height=”250″ alt=”” />

does this mean you are able to put a new image on the right?
    but the formatting is off?
does your new image have exactly the same dimensions as the original?

to allow somebody to investigate the formatting, please post a live link to illustrate the problem.

Please below for link. The image does not fit the header:

this is your current image info:
    324px × 68px (scaled to 670px × 141px)
i.e. the image is too small and not in the right proportions.

your easiest way is to edit your image in a (free) image editor to bring it exactly to the dimension of the original image:
    670px × 250px
    and then upload it again.

I actually want to remove the logo and only have a header image across this section, I’m still learning the ways of wordpress and the coding so your help would be appreciated of you could please tell me which section of code to change.

@shamy78 – assuming you are not the same OP in this thread, please start a new thread if you need help – it’s very confusing to have more than one person per thread. You can do so here:

    Themes and Templates

You also need to include a link to your site.

sorry was a related question… I’ll post again

    Hi alchymyth,

Your advise have worked perfectly. Thanks a great deal! 🙂
