• Hello all;

    My website has a ton of animation projects on it. All imagery uploaded throughout the years was sized to 1280×720. At this time, I would like to have all my imagery at 1920×1080.

    I do not want to delete and re-upload all imagery as that would be a nightmare and it would break links, etc.

    My question is: can I upload the original images at 1920×1080 via FTP overwriting the old ones? If so, will WordPress recognize the new resolution or does the old resolution of 1280×720 stay in the database?

    I know there are some plugins for media replacement such as “Enable Media Replace” but it injects spam.

    Any thoughts on this?

    Thanks,
    -Richard
