• A few of my clients used WP User Avatar, but after the replacement with ProfilePress Lite, it wasn’t what they wanted, so the plugin has been removed. And I will advise my clients never to use ProfilePress regardless of the quality of the plugin now or in the future.

What you should have done is release ProfilePress as a new plugin and leave the WP User Avatar plugin as it was. The only option would be an ad/notice for ProfilePress in the settings of WP User Avatar, although I hate ads.
