    Hi,

I have been looking for a way to replace the login link in the bar at the top of our website (home page) to our own login page provided by out theme.

Our login page is login.php so I would like to find a way to change the link for wp-login.php to login.php. I found some pages on the 'net but they seem to apply to different versions of wordpress. We also have the latest buddypress installed.

    Thanks,
    Rhek

  2. Don't do that. Really don't it'll most likely break things badly.

Do you just want the URL to look different? If so then give one of these a try.

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=custom+login+URL

Then you can reference the new link in your menu or widget.

Thanks for the reply. The url is not the issue. We want the login page to match our theme. I have a login page ready, just can't figure out how to use it instead of wp-login.

    Thanks,
    Rhek

  4. Gotcha. Give this a look.

    This may help too.

See if the plugin or the Codex article help you out.
