Replace Twenty Eleven Header with vSlider

Hi there guys!

I am a photographer, so I really want to showcase my images with a static home page. I created a pretty nice image slider using vSlider plugin, but would like to implement it differently. What I would really like to do is replace the existing Twenty Eleven header with my image slider which is 955px wide and 637px tall. I like the existing navigation and would like to keep that below the slider. I already have a child theme up and running so no worries there.

Ideally I do not want any content on this page other than the text header, slider, and navigation. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
