# replace the default comment box

 * Hi,
 * I am new to wordpress and I would like to know how to replace the default comment
   box. I am yet to find a different comment box but I am not sure how to replace
   the default one with what i find.
 * please guide me.

 * Are you using the Twenty Ten theme?
 * If so, in `comments.php`, look for `comments_form()`, and then check out the 
   [documentation](http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/comment_form) for a 
   guide on customization.

 * if you are designing your own wordpress theme, you should add a customized template
   for comments. You can have a look at the Twenty Ten theme for example. or you
   can also take a look at the Aurelius wordpress theme source code from [Pengbos.com](http://pengbos.com/category/download).
   It has a customized comment box instead of using the default.
