Support » Plugin: WP-Stateless - Google Cloud Storage » Replace, store and serve OLD media files with Google Cloud Storage only

Hi, when I click on “Enable Editor & Media” et “Stateless” Mode, and then synchronize my local medias with Google Cloud Storage, will the old medias be stored and served via Google Cloud and be removed from my local server or not? Or it’s just concerning the new medias?
I mean: will my server be unloaded from all my previous pictures with this plugin or not?
    Thanks!

    Hello @evo252,

    Thanks for contacting us.

File URL Replacement does not make change on the database. It tries to find any image url from your server and replace them with GCS url. It only do so using the_content filter. I also replace url in post meta, but not good for performance.

You just have to select “Stateless” Mode and synchronize your media.

Yes, Stateless mode will do that.

“Enable Editor & Media” don’t have any relation with synchronization. It just replace url when a post is viewed.

    Hi Alim,
    Thanks for your quick reply!
Perfect, thanks a lot for these useful information! So my local server will earn diskpace after the sync, that’s what I wanted with this plugin.
Thank you very much for great work and helpful information!
