Replace ‘featured-image’ with video

    I’m trying to embed a video in the featured-images box. I have installed the featured-video-plus plugin, and am using the shortcode [featured-video-plus https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODtcNQwYLD0%5D. Nothing shows up.

    If I just put the URL in the box, all that shows up is the URL text. If I put the embed code in the box, only the default featured image (that came with the theme) shows.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Hi,

    Apologies for the delay.
    I think you are trying to add a video in the Visual mode due to which you are facing this issue. Can you please try below steps?
    1. Please go to Appearance–>Theme options–>Home page and move to the featured content area.

    2. You will find 2 tabs (Visual|Text) at the top right corner of featured content text editor. Click the text mode and add your video shortcode.

    3. Now save the changes and check the result.

    I have the same problem. Just the URL shows up.

    The response is just a cut-and-paste that does not address the problem.

    I’m trying to replace the default image with another image. Nothing works. I just see the URL.

    Please post a CODE example.

    Answer: The full image tag is required, not just the path to the image.

    This should be documented. It’s really hard to google because the theme name is so generic.
