# Repeating Header Image

 * Hi, I uploaded a new header to my blog – [](http://www.capitalistslog.com)
 * Not only has it pushed adsense to the middle but it’s also repeating the header
   image all the way down the page. I’ve checked header.php and style.css along 
   with the image itself and can’t figure out what is happening. Any help would 
   be greatly appreciated.

 * This line of CSS is causing your issue –
 * #page { background: url(“[http://capitalistslog.com/wp-content/themes/default/images/csheader.jpg&#8221](http://capitalistslog.com/wp-content/themes/default/images/csheader.jpg&#8221);)
   repeat-y top; border: none; }
 * You need to remove the “repeat-y top” bit.

 * Hey thanks so much. I changed the code and there is no repeating image but the
   old WordPress theme is still in front of the new header image. Any thoughts on
   that?

 * Hey I’m still looking for some help on this. I’ve tried everything this evening
   and still can’t get the original Default Theme Green Background to go away. It’s
   covering up my new masthead – which I can see peeking out from behind it. Sure
   would appreciate help on this.

   The default is very difficult to edit in the way you are doing if you do not 
   understand its eccentricities. Half the CSS is in the template files. Have a 
   look for your rogue header there. But I do not hold out much hope for you.

 * Thanks for the response. If you could be more specific it would help me tackle
   this today. I don’t know what you are referring to by “its eccentricities” and
   half the CSS is in the template files. And why not much hope? Any specifics, 
   files, etc. would help me. Or if there is a better way for me to do this that
   would be helpful too. Thanks.

 * Oh, just one more note for reference. The first draft of the new header went 
   up just fine and looked great – no issues whatsoever.
