The code isn’t built yet — that’s a feature request. But you can look at the wiki and the docs for writing your own class of custom field. I’d like to get that written for version 0.9.8. Most of the surges in development have been when a paying project required it. I don’t have much time to do development outside of work, unfortunately.
After a somewhat cursory look at the code my best guess is that it isn’t what I am looking for. The problem is also a different from adding a new class of custom field since I want to collect some fields into a group and also make that group repeatable. Unfortunately, I also don’t have the budget to pay for this. Anyway, thanks for the info and I think you have built a very nice cms plugin.
No, it’s what you want, I’m sorry I can’t clarify it more, and I really don’t expect you to be able to code this yourself, but what you’ve described is exactly the idea behind that feature request. Forget the code, it’ll probably just confuse you. Sorry it’s unclear, I just don’t have time to explain every feature in terms that everybody can understand. I’m so insanely busy most of the time I barely have time to write down a 1 or 2 word description to remind myself of what’s needed, but this is what you need: field groups or field sets. I just have zero time to code that at the moment. They’re slated for version 0.9.8. If a big project comes along that needs them, that’s when I can devote time to them.
The plugin I am currently using does repeatable groups well but it does not appear to be under active development and it is slowly becoming obsolete. Hopefully, when it does become badly obsolete you will have released version 0.9.8 and I will be able to switch to it. I will keep watching for it. Keep up the good work it is appreciated.
