So I have a WordPress theme I am developing and for some reason I cant reorder my repeater group fields. You click the button but nothing happens. I do have conditionals set using the third party plugin and some js script to show or hide these group fields so not sure if that is messing with it or if it is something else. But basically I have a cmb2 metabox for the header area of my theme so that the user can add a banner image or a slideshow or a video as the banner area at the top of the front end.

So the user picks which one they want using a radio button input. And based on that it shows or hides each group field i.e. banner image and caption, video and caption, and finally the one that has an issue is the slideshow group field which has an image upload and a caption for that image. The issue is that when some inputs all the slides with captions the group fields won’t sort using the up and down arrow. So if the user wants the slides to be in a different order they have to manually re input all the slides in the right order.

So not sure if you have dealt with this before or if its a new thing but it would be nice to be able to sort them with the btns. So I guess I just need to know what you need from me to get this fixed or at least get it looked at.

    Thanks

Is your developer tools console showing any errors when you try to reorder?

Is this reorder functionality coming from a 3rd party addon and not just CMB2 core? May be best to go to that developer first, as we aren’t able to support everything that happens to extend CMB2 core.

So the console is not showing any errors and the reorder is suppose to be built in to the cmb2 plugin. Its the little arrows and the bottom of the repeater field.

Can you provide some screenshots, by chance? It’ll help me visualize.

yeah no problem here is a video file of the functionality. So the radio boxes are set up using the conditional plugin you guys recommend on git but there is some js I had to include because the group box were not working. All the other metaboxes are setup using the cmb2 plugin.

Hmm. Definitely see what you mean overall.

How much customization has gone in to this “Page Header Content” metabox especially with that Header Type radio button and conditional output? Is this all stuff done up by you? or are you using some other CMB2 extensions to help?

Feels like the javascript used to reorder the fields isn’t finding what it needs at the moment.

so whats being used is this thrid party conditional extension off of your github page

    CMB2 Conditionals from jcchavezs

and then some minor js that just hides and shows the group fields since his plugin had trouble with group fields.

Definitely aware of that one, and I think I’ve even used it relatively recently for some client work. However, I am not involved with its development so I can’t say too much about what may or may not be going on with it, assuming it’s contributing to the button issue.

Are you able/willing to set up a test metabox group and whatnot that doesn’t utilize that CMB2 Conditionals plugin at all, and see if the buttons work in that example?
