I understand how to drag category names around and change the order and that all works fine if I only need to drag a category a few entries away (i.e. on the same page in the category listing). Is there any way to move a category to much further way, on a subsequent listing page?

Here’s the scenario I’m trying to deal with. I have a top level category called “Composers” Then I create subcategories for each composer. We have over 200. When I add a new composer category it puts that new one at the top of the Composer category. I might need to move it to the end so it’s alphabetically listed. But I can’t find any way to drag it beyond the first page of categories showing.

Surely there’s a way to do this?

  • Unfortunately not!

But, if you click the ‘Screen Options’ button at the top right of the page you will be able to set how many categories are shown so can fit them all on one page.

Can you send us a screenshot of how this look on your end, please? You can send it via https://snipboard.io – please follow the instructions on that page, then paste the URL in this thread. That way we can take a closer look to help.
