Renewal of Membership Doesn’t Recognize Member Already Has Account

Hi,
When a member tries to renew their membership, they get caught in a loop. No matter what they do, it asks for a user name, password, first name, last name and email. If they try to enter the email address they used to sign up the first time, it rejects it and tells them that address is already taken. This happens if they use the option to Join and then click on “Already have an account?” or go straight in using their membership login and choose to “View your account status,” choose “View all membership options,” then choose to select a new level (2-year option $40). Note: The membership term of the members testing this new option hasn’t run out yet. Can people renew before their term is up? Any help would be appreciated and we can give you access to a current member’s account to test this.
