• Hi,

    When a member tries to renew their membership, they get caught in a loop. No matter what they do, it asks for a user name, password, first name, last name and email. If they try to enter the email address they used to sign up the first time, it rejects it and tells them that address is already taken. This happens if they use the option to Join and then click on “Already have an account?” or go straight in using their membership login and choose to “View your account status,” choose “View all membership options,” then choose to select a new level (2-year option $40). Note: The membership term of the members testing this new option hasn’t run out yet. Can people renew before their term is up? Any help would be appreciated and we can give you access to a current member’s account to test this.

    Hi Andrea,

    I’m sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with this.

    1. Users are able to renew their membership account well before it expires.

    2. If a user would like to renew their account, they are able to simply go to their account page and under ‘My Memberships’ it will have a ‘renew’ link (when available for renewing their account), however users would be able to upgrade/downgrade their membership at any point in time. Would you please try renewing a membership according to this?

    For example a user with a level 1 membership will be able to upgrade to a different membership level at anytime. If the user wants to renew their current membership, the renew option will be available prior their expiration (which varies according to membership settings, however I think it would be about 1 month before their membership expires and which they will receive a notification via email that their membership is ending shortly).

    Okay, one step at a time. The new membership level is for a 2-year ($40) option. If someone who already has a 1-year ($20) membership (that has NOT expired) chooses the 2-year option, will the new level begin on: A) the date they purchased it, or B) at the expiry date of their original 1-year membership? If the former (A) is true, there is no benefit to someone choosing the 2-year option until their 1-year membership has expired.

    The payment sequence is still not working. A logged-in member actually gets logged out by the system when they choose the new (2-year) membership level, so it always thinks they are a new person signing up. But let’s begin with the above question as it will decide whether we offer a 2-year option or not.
