    Hi,

Is the renew ad page only for the premium version?
    How do you use it?

    Thanks

    Hi @sunnyschafieh,

Sorry that you ran into issues here!

The Renew Ad page is something that you use only when an ad requires renewal. You can’t access the page by itself–you use the page in combination with an ad ID to renew that particular ad.

If you visit the page without an ad ID that needs renewal, then it won’t work (and isn’t supposed to). To test this most effectively, I would setup an ad that expires in 1 day, then wait 24 hours for the email, and then use the link in the email to do the renewal at that point.

    Does that make more sense?

Please try that and let me know if you run into more issues.

    Ok thanks.

What if my site requires login and registration to post ads? Can they renew too? How does that work?

    Thanks

The same mechanism is used for both anonymous and registered users.

Ok thanks. If i removed the edit ad page so they users can’t access the dashboard, then they can’t access the dit ad page either right?

    Thanks

@sunnyschafieh You should not remove ANY of the AWPCP pages, as doing so will break the way that AWPCP works.

We have various settings that allows you to control access, but deleting pages will create weird errors.

There’s a “Restore Pages” option on the Classified Pages tab. I’d recommend that you clear you Pages trash, and then click “Restore Pages” to ensure that you have things in sync.

I didn’t remove the edit page, but just hid it by translating on the view ad page. Is the dashboard the only way for a user to renew an ad?

    Hi @sunnyschafieh,

Not sure if I fully understand your question–the renewal process is usually initiated through either email (links) or the admin dashboard (via the Renew link). Either will allow someone to proceed with the renewal, but for the case of paid ads, the end user must end up going through a payment workflow to complete the renewal.

Were you looking for some other way to renew an ad? If so, can you tell me what you need that for and why the other one doesn’t work?

Oh ok. Is the renew ad just a link that gets emailed when an ad gets placed? The user would just click on the link and it would renew for another 30 days?

    Thanks
