# Renaming SKU

 * I found a thread long ago that said you could rename the SKU by modifying
 * > /wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/templates/single-product/meta.php.
 * Works like a charm, but it’s overwritten with every WooCommerce update and I 
   have to go in and do it again. Is there a permanent way of modifying this?

 * In this case, you would put your custom file at:
    wp-content/themes/your-theme-
   name/woocommerce/single-product/meta.php Note: no /templates/ in the path.

 * Thank you, thank you, thank you. Ironically, got another update tonight and was
   able to test it.
