Renaming PDFs results in “pdf” being appended to file name
-
Hi,
We seem to be able to rename images without any issues. However, when rename a PDF the file name has the text string “pdf” appended to the filename before the file extension.
Example file: example.pdf
Rename to: new-example.pdf
Resulting file name: new-examplepdf.pdfWe’ve tested this with WordPress 6.6.1, PHP 8.2.19, MFR Version 5.9.7, and the Twenty Twenty-Four theme. We didn’t readily see any errors in the browser console.
Here’s a log of the activity where it shows it inserts the extra “pdf” in the filename:
2024-09-17 00:15:56: File /nas/content/live/testing/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/example.pdf /nas/content/live/testing/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/new-examplepdf.pdf
We’re using the UI Rename Button > Modal option in the Media Library list view to perform the rename.
Thanks for any help you can send our way.
