I have a whole stack of image files which were imported with non descriptive names. I want to be able to go through and rename these filenames based on their post title (updating their references as well obviously).

My question is, will this break the image optimisation tables for litespeed? Or what needs to be done to keep everything matching?

    Hi,

For whatever method you use to rename the image file , as long as it does it in standard WP logic , it should not break image optimization.

Basically , LSCWP will check the database to get image info , so if you rename images and also updates the corresponding database record, it should be fine.

if you rename the images, without update database , then these images will be show as “missing” in LSCWP and skipped.

    Best regards,

Thanks for the clarification on this, the methods will be updating the database, so all should be good. Will be taking backups obviously just in case it isn’t.

    Thanks again.
