Renamed template dir, hell breaks loose

  • Hello there,

I just renamed the directory of my WP theme. Something I probably shouldn’t have. WP went beserk, and now nothing works. It doesn’t even seem to find my theme, nor any other.

    Anybody know why?

  • Yup – because you renamed it before telling WP 🙂

    Follow this guide:
    http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/site-url/
    to get into phpmyadmin
but you want to look for
    ‘template’
    ‘stylesheet’
    instead of home/siteurl
    Change the name there.
The safest thing is to name them default if you still have that, then try changing from inside your blog.

Nvm. Found the solution. It somehow flipmoded when it couldn’t find the theme, and changed the theme to ‘default’, which I don’t have. Editted wp_options to repair.

Heh, didn’t see you reaction. Thanks anyway 🙂
