Removing YAPB

I’m working with a client who has a blog that uses YAPB. We want to switch to using the native media library in WP but I have no idea how YAPB stores images since they don’t show in the library. Can anyone tell me what happens if I just disable the plugin? Will the images then show in the library? Does the world continue turning? 🙂
