# Removing wordpress from url

 * Setting up new site [http://www.business-loans-info.co.uk](http://www.business-loans-info.co.uk)&
   do not want /wordpress/ in the url
 * Have read through the steps shown in:
 * [http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory](http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory)
 * I have edited the index.php file as instructed to remove the /wordpress/ section
   and re-uploaded to my server, but then just got error messages when I try to 
   go to the url [http://www.business-loans-info.co.uk](http://www.business-loans-info.co.uk)
   so have had to change it back.
 * Any suggestions as to what I’m doing wrong?
