[Resolved] Removing uploaded file & file upload size limits

  • I’m in the process of creating a number of quite complex forms, which once they’re done I’ll post the link.

I want potential clients to be able to upload certain documents, but I had a couple of queries:

    a) Once selected for upload it doesn’t seem possible to remove/delete a document if, for example, the wrong one was chosen in error. I would have thought this should not be an irreversible step.

    b) Is there any guidance on file sizes for uploads? Any maximum which applies?

    Hi,

    Answers:

    a) In most browsers that field can be cleared, example: Google Chrome by clicking the field and “cancel”, in Internet Explorer by directly clearing the field contents… I guess that you are experiencing the problem in Firefox, unfortunately in Firefox that’s a recurrent and already reported bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=431098

    b) The maximum is restricted by your hosting service. In most cases it is restricted to 2, 4 or 8 Mb. You can check that limit for your PHP installation in your PHP info or using the phpinfo() function.

    c) In the current version of the plugin you have to add multiple upload fields for letting the user upload multiple files.

Thank you for using the plugin!
