    Please tell me how I can make the “Upgrade to Otter Pro” message disappear permanently. It’s driving me mad. I do not want to upgrade and the more you keep telling me to do so the more likely I am to remove the plugin completely.

    Hey @craptiger,

    Which update notice in particular are you talking about? Thank you!

    Here’s a OneDrive link to a screenshot. Not sure it’ll work and it looks a bit dodgy to me so not sure I’d click it if I were you haha. It really is a link to an image though. I can’t find out how else to insert it. https://1drv.ms/i/s!AuXnDyMsQrpHiYFD7vbuPfOiFQEpeA?e=Yca0lL

    The text on the banner is this:
    You’re using Otter! Enhance your WordPress site building with Otter Pro. Learn more

    I can click the little cross to the right of the banner and it goes away until I hit another page and then it’s there again. Super annoying.

    Hey @craptiger,

    On the right side of the notice, there should be a dismiss button. When you click on it, is the notice not going away?

    If not, can you open your browser console before you click it and send us a screenshot if you see any errors appearing there? Here’s a tutorial on how you can open your browser console: https://screenful.com/how-to-open-the-browser-console

    Thank you for your patience!

    Hi,
    Thank for replying. I used to be a .NET developer (about 15 years ago) so pretty confident around the console, however I can’t figure out how to upload a screenshot to this (OneDrive link to images doesn’t seem to work) so here’s a text version. Can’t see anything related to Otter in there 🙁
    Oh and yes, I tried the little cross. That makes it go away until I hit a different page and then it’s back. Oh and there are no further console errors when I click “Close” on the bar, only when I load the page. When I close it there’s nothing extra happening that I can see.

    Hey @craptiger,

    Yes, you can’t upload images here so have to use a third-party app like pasteboard.co or OneDrive to share.

    Given that it’s not working and you’re seeing some errors generated, I’m guessing they are stopping the JS from executing. No worries, you can add the following code to the end of the functions.php file for your theme and update. After that, just visit any page on the website and then remove the code:

    $notifications = get_option( 'themeisle_blocks_settings_notifications', array() );

    if ( ! isset( $notifications['dashboard_upsell'] ) || $notifications['dashboard_upsell'] !== true ) {
        $notifications['dashboard_upsell'] = true;
        update_option( 'themeisle_blocks_settings_notifications', $notifications );
    }

    This should remove the notice permanently. Let me know if this works for you, sorry for the troubles!
