• The old user “admin” might still have access to my site.
I have the login details for that user as well as my own “admin1”
As admin is not my seo/designer anymore, I dont want them to be able to access this site.
I tried removing them but it doesn’t seem to work, unless this takes a day to be implemented.
    Any help would be appreciated.

The following for changing the password worked, but it was through the hosting site wordpress pluging on the hosting management page .

SIte Tools > WordPress > Install & Manage > Actions > Update Admin Password

but that still doesnt solve the problem that the unwanted email of the unwanted user wont be changed, allowing them to re-reset the password.

when i reset it, under users/profile,
it states: “Error: Sorry, that username is not allowed.”
    the username is “admin”
which won’t be deleted nor have it’s email changed.

Since this is not the actions provided by a default install, please provide where you are seeing this: the specific URL.

To log into your site: https://marksfarm.ie/wp-admin/

    Consult your host.

    Hey,

If you have access to the Cpanel, then please follow these steps, it’s pretty straightforward:
    1) Login to the Cpanel
    2) Click on ‘PHPMyAdmin’
    3) Select your WordPress database on the left pane
    4) Navigate to and click the table wp_users.
    5) Simply click the ‘delete’ link for the Admin user you would like to delete….
    That’s all.

Please tag as resolved once done.

Important Notes: Make sure you have another admin user.

Thanks Pioneer, the password is changed through the host’s admin page for my site.
But Sumit, there is no button for Cpanel and i can’t see PHPMyAdmin.
How do i know if my wordpress has Cpanel or not?
    thanks!
