    Hi all,

    Small problem.

    Blog url: http://www.colorbakery.com/blog

    Problem: inordinate amount of white space after the header graphic.

    Theme is called Emptiness; Theme’s author does not know how to fix. He says I need to remove my cloud tags from the right hand side. I am not sure why the middle of the page isn’t a separate issue and it can’t be tweaked with using code.

    Can someone help? Thank you so much in advance. It’s really annoying the heck out of me 🙂

  • It is the tag clouds, the more tags that get added to it the bigger that space it going to be. Remove the tag clouds, or put it farther down.

    Thank you for responding, Marjiec.

    I don’t know how to do this. I don’t know how to fix this. I am an artist, not a coder. I am certainly flying by the seat of my pants with WordPress.

    I would be willing to pay for someone to go in there and fix this.

    Thank you.

    What you need is a plugin called wp-cumulus:

    Download here:
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-cumulus/

    And see it here:

    Installing and configuring this should solve all your problems.

    Bless your heart, ameo02. {{{{{{{{{thank you}}}}}}}}} Downloading right now. 🙂

    I have to admit that is a neat looking cumulus flash plugin. I still see no great need for a tag cloud or a cumulus cloud either.
    I think hannahblu would still be better off removing the widget.
    Sorry,
    Although since she can set the height of the plugin I can see how it would work for her.
    Good luck Hannahblu.

    Do you think the tag cloud is a waste, Marjiec? Don’t people click on those tags? It seems as if they do. The tag cloud is very large and for people who don’t have updated Flash, I am nervous about that.

    I was hoping that there would be a way to keep the tags and remove the space, ie, treat the middle as a separate entity from the right side. But I guess they are intertwined. I removed some tags and therefore some of the space, but not enough. But I guess it’s not as awful as it was.

    You guys are very kind; thank you for taking the time to help me. I guess I am kinda stuck with what I have, because my control over the tag font size is non-existent.

    try add the following code in your theme’s style.css (Dashboard > Design > Editor > stylesheet).

    #tag_cloud{height:225px;overflow:hidden}
    #tag_cloud:hover{overflow:auto}
