Is there a way to simply remove the generator tag <meta name=”generator” content=”Give v1.8.6″ />?

Hi there,

I haven’t tested this, but adding something like this should do it:

remove_action( 'wp_head', 'give_version_in_header' );

I’m curious though why you want it removed?
