[Resolved] Removing the 'comment-reply.min.js' file

Hi, I’m using your plugin to completely disable all comments, by selecting the “Everywhere” option. It works as intended, but I noticed that I still have this line in the <head> section of my webpages’ source code:

    <script type='text/javascript' src='http://www.example.com/wp-includes/js/comment-reply.min.js?ver=3.7.1'></script>

    …Where example.com is my domain.

I’m not sure why this line is there – in fact I have a second website that also uses your plugin, and the “comment-reply.min.js” line doesn’t appear in the source of that website at all.

In any case, is this something that your plugin might be able to remove?

    Hi @germankiwi,

This is being inserted by your theme – look for the code wp_enqueue_script( 'comment-reply' ) somewhere in the theme’s functions.php. I guess you are using a different theme on your second site.

It is possible for the plugin to remove this automatically – I will add this feature to the next release. Ideally, however, the theme should be checking to see whether comments are open before including this script.

Okay, thanks for the tip! Yes, my second site uses a different theme so that must be why it doesn’t have that line.

Thanks for adding this to the next release!
