    just trying to find out where i put the

    <?php wp_oembed_remove_provider( $format ) ?>

    as I want to remove none video sites from autoembedding.

    does it go in the functions file or in the theme edit file?

    thanks and sorry if it seems a stupid question.

  • Do not worry.

    I should not have been so lazy and tried it out.

    It goes in functions file

    I might be confused but it doesn´t work for me. When I place the code :

    <?php wp_oembed_remove_provider( $format ) ?>

    to wp-content/themes/my-theme/functions.php, there is also a syntax error appearing while try to edit with dreamweaver, so I presume I do something wrong.

    Anyway I´m still able to post videos from that site.

    Thanks and sorry for this basic misunderstanding.

    add a ; at the end so

    <?php wp_oembed_remove_provider( $format ); ?>

    OK I´ve found it 🙂

    The video is no longer supported which is o.k. but website subscribers are still able to place the code of the site removed and publish it or send it for revision, even if the video is not working.

    How is it possible to restrict subscriber to submit video for revision only from youtube, otherwise they can not proceed and no videopage will be created and sent to admin for revision?

    Thanks a lot.
