Removing Sidebar from parent but not subpages

I am using wp-ecommerce and have an issue with sidebar coming up on main product page when I have full width template but I only want it on the subpages where this is a single product. The issue is that on the main page template I have full width set but all subpages follow this template so if I make it a blog template then my main page has sidebar which I do not want but all others have it. Can I add code to page.php to remove it or add it from parent of subpages? What would this be? Any help would be great.
