[resolved] Removing related posts without creating child theme (5 posts)

    I prefer to use a related posts plugin and need to remove the related posts that come standard under each post. I don't have a child theme and don't know how to set one up. I do have the Header/Footer plugin installed.

    a simple CSS approach:

    add this via a 'custom CSS' plugin ( http://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=custom+css ):

    .single .related-content { display: none; }

    or a totally different approach - try with a plugin (self-made);

    save the code from the pastebin http://pastebin.com/Md8JarJw for instance as expound_no_related_posts.php and use FTP to upload this file into the /wp-contents/plugins/ folder of your WordPress installation;
    then goto dashboard - plugins - installed plugins and activate the 'Expound Remove Related Posts' plugin.

    Thanks. That worked.

    If you're using YARPP, you don't need to make any changes, Expound will automatically use it for the related posts section: http://wordpress.org/plugins/yet-another-related-posts-plugin/

    Good luck!
