Removing “Permalink, Print” etc.. from bottom of post

  • Hey guys,

I’m trying to remove some of the unnecessary links at the bottom of my posts, I only want users to be able to see the Comments link (and edit if they are logged in), and in the case where i disable comments, for them to see nothing!

I’ve tried looking for the code that might alude to this but I can’t seem to find it…

    Thanks for your help!

    pat

  • that code is probably in a couple places in your theme templates

    such as
    yourtheme/index.php
    category.php
    and your Single Post template

Read through the code (I know you won’t recognize everything, but look for the section of code that seems related, for example you’ll probably find the word “print” there, and the word “comment” nearby)

make a back-up before trying any changes

try deleting the little blocks of code that seems to be it

refresh the theme, if it didn’t work restore your back-up and try again

    Hope this helps
