  • >> new to child themes and was trying to figure out how to make the space (or padding) above and below the images smaller in the posts of twenty twelve. does anyone have suggested code to place in my child theme for this?

I also would like to remove most of the padding between two images when I have two portrait style photos side by side. ((is the site i’m working on))

    Thanks in advanced forum!

Twentytwelve does not appear to have any margin or padding around images. The spacing is from the containing <p> elements which have a sizable bottom margin. Reducing this will alter all paragraphs, image or not. The best solution is not obvious. I suggest you use your browser’s CSS explorer tool to learn which rules are being applied. You can also enter trial rules to verify they have the desired effect.

Most browsers have such a tool, though for Firefox, it is a downloaded plugin called Firebug. A different CSS rule for side by side images could be elusive unless there is some unique feature of side by side images in the html classes which can be identified by code.
