  • Oops. Here is my code using the backticks. Also, here is a link to my site.

    Theme Name: MT Dark Child Theme
    Description: Child theme for MT Dark.
    Author:         admin
    Template:       mt-dark
    (optional values you can add: Theme URI, Author URI, Version)
    @import url("../mt-dark/style.css");
    .entry-meta { display: none; }

    use a tool such as Firebug to find the real css class for the metadata (which depends on the theme);

    for the front page at least, for instance, this is .postmeta

    Thanks alchymyth. I have added Firebug. However I have no idea what I’m doing. Can you offer some simple step by step instructions?

    This is the code I see in the Firebug window when I’m on the Home page.

    @import "../mt-dark/style.css";
    .entry-meta {
        display: none;

    Shouldn’t this remove the metadata?

    Ok. I think I got it. I just had to re read your answer a couple times to get it. The code is now:

    @import "../mt-dark/style.css";
    .postmeta {
        display: none;
