Is there a quick way to remove the affiliate links placed throughout our posts? We plan to start placing affiliate links (using Thirsty Affiliates) throughout all of our posts, however before going ahead with this I would be comforted in knowing these links can be easily and quickly removed without having to go through each post again and delete individually. I’m aware that the affiliate redirect can be deleted through the Thirsty Affiliates links page, but it appears that when this is done the links remain on the page, but end up redirecting to the home page by default. It would be great if the links themselves were removed upon deleting the link/redirect from within TA or if necessary in deactivating the plugin. What are the solutions for this? Would I really need to go back through each post and remove them one by one?

    Thank you.

  • Hi @nbrubaker,

Thanks for the question. There’s a new feature we just released which lets you scan through your site and find where you have placed links on pages. This is accessible from the edit screen of the affiliate link.

Unfortunately, at the moment, that kind of destructive force removal type of thing isn’t supported, but you can use that new link scanner to quicken the process and see exactly which pages those links are on.

I’ll keep this idea in mind for a new feature request though, it’s just one of those things we have to approach with caution because it is a destructive process going into content and removing links.

    Hope this helps!
