Removing Imported Bookmarks/Favorites

  • I gave the Import Bookmarks/Favorites a try and what came in is a mess. And it consistently shifts and changes into more of a mess.
I’d like to remove it. I’ve removed the xbel.php and bookmarks.xbel from my directory, but it continues to show on the index.php.
How do I get rid of it? It’s a serious mess.
And if I was to continue using it, cleaned up of course, how do I set the placement of the links within the links div?
    Thanks.

  • Additionally, I tried to clean up the mess by editing and cleaning up the xbel.php file but uploading that over the new one still doesn’t fix the problem. I’m trying link-manager.php editing to try to fix or remove it, but are there other alternatives?
It would really be nice to have “uninstall” information on the plugins as well as install.
    Thanks

Uninstall is generally reverse what you did when you install it.
Can we have a link to your site so we can better understand and suggest ?

I think I’m fixing the problem via link-manager. It took some hunting to figure out that this plugin added everything to link manager, and that link manager was a tool I could use to manage links on my page.

I’m whacking away at fixing it but you can see it however it turns out at http://www.cameraontheroad.com/wordpress/index.php.
    Thanks!
